IDUKKI: Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church head Catholicos Baselius Mar Thomas Paulos II will not be meeting Syrian Orthodox Church supreme head and Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aprem II during his five-day visit of the country.
The Patriarch will be arriving at Nedumbassery at 9am on Tuesday in a bid to initiate peace talks between the warring Orthodox and Jacobite churches. He had written a letter to the Orthodox Catholicos on May 17, inviting him for a meeting during his visit. However, there was no response to the invitation.
