Islamabad (Agenzia Fides) - È trascorso quasi un anno e mezzo dall'arresto della donna cristiana pakistana Shagufta Kiran (vedi Fides 31/8/2021) e quello imminente è, per lei, il secondo Natale trascorso in carcere, lontana dal marito e dai suoi due figli. Shagufta Kiran, 35 anni, è stata accusata di blasfemia per aver inoltrato un messaggio su una chat del social media "WhatsApp" che includeva contenuti ritenuti blasfemi. In una lettera scritta ai suoi figli - inviata a Fides dai suoi avvocati - la donna rivela che "le sue condizioni fisiche e mentali non sono molto buone". "Non riesco più a sopportare lo stare lontana da voi e desidero con tutto il cuore ricongiungermi a voi", si legge. "Desidero tanto e chiedo a Dio di poter nuovamente godermi il Natale insieme con voi, uniti come una famiglia".

القدس (وكالة فيدس) - أنشأ الأساقفة الكاثوليك في الأرض المقدسة مكتبين قانونيين جديدين مسؤولين عن تنفيذ أنشطة الاستشارات والحماية القانونية لدعم المؤسسات والهيئات والجماعات والمؤسسات الدينية الكاثوليكية الموجودة في إسرائيل وفلسطين. تم تقديم غرض وهيكل المكتبين الجديدين باسم "مكتب الحماية للأفراد والمكتب القانوني المهني" ، يوم الأربعاء 13 كانون الاوّل/ ديسمبر في القدس ، خلال مؤتمر شهد مشاركة بطريرك القدس للاتين ، رئيس الأساقفة بييرباتيستا بيتسابالا ، والاسقف أدولفو ايلانا السفير البابوي في إسرائيل وقبرص والمندوب الرسولي في القدس وفلسطين. خلال المؤتمر ، تم عرض المهام المحددة للمكتبين الجديدين - مصادر المعلومات لتقرير البطريركية اللاتينية في القدس - لممثلي الجماعات والمعاهد الدينية من قبل رزان كافايتي والمحامي زكي سهلية (متخصص في قانون العقارات ، مدني وتجاري) ومن قبل ناتالي بدور ، التي قدمت لمحة عامة عن مكتب الحماية وأغراضه.

Atchaneh (Agenzia Fides) - An unprecedented and in some respects historic meeting between the leaders of the Churches of the Syriac tradition, to discuss and reflect together on the emergencies and problems faced by Christian communities in the Middle East, in the light of the common spiritual heritage and of the teaching of the Fathers of the Church. This is the only ecclesial meeting convened today, Friday, December 16, at Atchaneh (Lebanon), at the headquarters of the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate. The conference, which included opening speeches by His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and Mgr Adolfo Tito Yllana, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy Land, was meant to present the purpose of these offices to the religious congregations and institutes of the Holy Land.

Francesco commosso e piegato dal dolore, nel tradizionale omaggio e preghiera al monumento alla Vergine: avrebbe voluto portare il ringraziamento degli ucraini "per la pace che da tempo chiediamo al Signore”.
